What Can We Do To Mediate the AI Crisis in Schools?
Rhode Island is working to set its young students up for success in the digital age. Through programs such as the E-Rate Program, schools and libraries receive discounts for affordable internet access, allowing more students to utilize technology. In 2024, Governor Dan McKee also introduced the AI Task Force. The goal of the task force is to integrate AI literacy throughout the RI school system. Together, programs such as these educate youth on how to properly utilize technology so they are prepared for the future.
